K2 The Church

PERSONAL ADVENTURE

ASSESSMENT

Ask any top athlete what's necessary to win

...and invariably you’ll find the answer is... training. At K2, we think the same holds true for your spiritual life; God wants you to be a winner!  So God’s desire is for every person to be on a steady regiment of ongoing spiritual growth.  In other words, say goodbye to flabby faith and hello to a spiritual six-pack!

1 Timothy 4:8 - “For physical training is of some value, but Godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”

So what does that training look like for our spiritual lives?  We’re glad you asked!  We like to refer to it as living “Focused, Tight, and Out There.”  Here’s what we mean by that.

"Focused" means living my life in such a wayt that all I am and all I have is centered around my relationship with Jesus Christ.  “Tight” is defined as being committed to building and strengthening authentic, loving relationships at K2.  And “Out There” refers to how we will courageously and effectively engage a world that needs the love of Jesus.  In short, you’ll often hear us refer to the entire plan as “FTO.”  We really believe it fully defines a person who is in a growing relationship with God and others.

So, what’s with the online assessment?
At times it’s difficult to know how we’re doing in our personal adventure with God. So this quick assessment of 62 questions is aimed at helping you determine where you are in your spiritual growth. Don’t worry though, the questions are pretty straightforward and painless.  However, they’ll help you focus on developing your personal adventure with Christ, and determine how that impacts your life, your family and your community.

Paul declares in Ephesians 1:16-17, “I pray for you constantly, asking God...to give you spiritual WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING, so that you might GROW in your knowledge of God.”

That’s the whole spirit behind this assessment; that you might grow in your personal knowledge and understanding of God.  We also hope it serves to spur you on in your adventure with Him, helping you to identify some areas that need to be sharpened and encourage you in the categories where you’re excelling.  After you finish the assessment you’ll be presented with some great resources that will help you “tune up” those specific topics that might need some attention.  Truth is... we all have those areas that need some work, so you’ll be in great company. So answer honestly and remember, this assessment isn’t designed to turn you into the “perfect” Christian.  Nope, it’s designed to help enhance your personal adventure with God.
